IMS WORD AUTHOR TEMPLATES
Intelligence, Mathematics and Society | v1.0.0 | 2026-10-07

Start with IMS-Review.docx or double-click IMS-Review.dotx to create a manuscript.
Keep author names, affiliations, and correspondence for single-anonymous review.
Replace all instructions and placeholders with an English manuscript and 3-8
keywords. Adapt the section structure for research, reviews, or perspectives.

Use the named Word styles for title, abstract, numbered headings, body text,
proofs, captions, and references. Equations are native Word objects. Numbered
headings, captions, equations, and cross-references use automatic fields.
Update document title and author properties to match your manuscript.

Review files use 1.5 line spacing and continuous line numbers. Publication files
use compact spacing without line numbers. For publication layout, start from
IMS-Publication.docx or its DOTX template and bring in your manuscript using
the publication template's styles. Retain and update field cross-references.

Select the main document with Ctrl+A and press F9 in Word for Windows to update
fields; update headers, footers, or tables separately if necessary. Export to
PDF and check every page. Small layout differences between Word versions and
the LaTeX template are normal.

The mathematical curve and notation table are formatting examples, not research
findings. Replace them before submission. Use accurate funding, interests,
data/code, ethics, and applicable AI statements.

The original templates are MIT licensed; see LICENSE.txt. Their use does not
transfer manuscript copyright or set the journal's article license.
